Southern route: MS Anna Maria Agnes bike & boat
MS Anna Maria Agnes:
Your home is the MS Anna Maria Agnes. The crew is from the Netherlands and the ship is runned under Dutch flag. We can offer 34 cabins (ca. 10 qm), each with a separated bathroom. There are no bunk beds except in 3-bed rooms. Each cabin has a window which you can open, central heating and air conditioning. Some single and triple cabins are also available. The ship has a big sun deck (partially with covered seats), and a large comfortable parlour with bar and restaurant.
1. day Amsterdam Arrival
Embarkment on board between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.. Maybe you have some time left for a town canal cruise in the afternoon.
2. day Rotterdam 40 km
Today you cycle along the idyllic river Vecht to Utrecht. Visit a traditional cheese-farm and look at beautiful villas, cottages und small palaces before you arrive at Utrecht. Take you time for the dome and the historic city! In the afternoon the Anna Maria Agnes brings you to Rotterdam. In the evening your tour guide offers a walk through the city (for free).
3. day circle tour Dordrecht 40 km
First you cycle to Delft. There you have to take time to visit the famous porcelain factory. The old city center is also worth a walk. During the dinner the ship chugs to Dordrecht. In the evening you can have a guided walk through the town (for free).
4. day Kinderdijk / Schoonhoven 25 - 50 km
Highlight of the day is Kinderdijk, where you can see 19 windmills in a row. Here you have to choose between a short tour through the Polder Alblasserwaard or a longer one via Gouda to the 'silver-city' Schoonhoven on the Leek. In the evening you enjoy a little cheese tasting on board.
5. day Utrecht / Beverwijk 50 km
Today you cycle through the polder landscape, "the green heart of Holland" to Oudewater before continuing your tour to Utrecht. Have a look at the unique 'witch-scale'. In the late afternoon the ship takes you from Utrecht to Beverwijk. In the evening you can enjoy live music on board.
6. day Haarlem / Zaandam 35 - 50 km
Today you can discover the coast of the North Sea. You cycle through wonderfull dunes to Zandvoort and Bloemendaal. Don't forget your swimming equipment!. A shorter route leads you through the inland directly to Haarlem. While you enjoy your dinner the ship chugs to Zaandam.
7. day Amsterdam 30 km
The last and also one of the most beautiful stages lies ahead! You cycle to Zaanse Schans, the picturesque museum village, where mustard, spices, colours and oils are still grinded like hundreds of years ago. Have a look at old windmills and watch how different handcrafts were carried out in former times. Afterwards you cycle back to Amsterdam through the 'Het Twiske' nature reserve.
8. day Amsterdam Departure
After breakfast (ca. 10:00 a.m.) your bike- and ship experiences end with the disembarkment.

Available rental bikes:
So-called unisex bikes are available (suitable for men and women). They have a 7-speed gear shift with coaster brake and are available in different frame sizes. Please enter therefore your weight when booking the tour. On request and extra charge some electric bikes can be made available.
Arrival by train:
Amsterdam is easily accessible from all major cities in Germany by train. The landing of the ship is about 4 km away from Amsterdam main station (Amsterdam Centraal). You can take a bus (line 42 to KNSM Eiland) or a taxi. Detailed information on the location of the ship, you will receive together with the detailed travel documents two weeks prior to departure.
