Travelroute:
Day 1: Arrival in Amsterdam
Arrive in Amsterdam and board your river boat. If you like, you can take a boat ride on the canal. The fare is payable on-site.
Day 2: Cruise from Amsterdam to Aalsmeer & Cycle to Leiden
Distance: approx. 30-40 km
Cruise from Amsterdam to Aalsmeer. Cycle from there to Leiden. During tulip season, you can ride through the tulip fields to Lisse and Keukenhof.
Day 3: Cycle from Leiden to Alphen aan den Rijn & Cruise to Gouda
Distance: approx. 40 km
Cycle to the town centre of Lisse. From there, continue along the North Sea beach at Katwijk, across the dunes, and to Alphen aan den Rijn. Board your barge and cruise to the "Cheese City", Gouda.
Day 4: Cruise from Gouda to Rotterdam & Cycle from Den Haag, Scheveningen, and back to Rotterdam
Distance: approx. 25-50 km
Cruise to Rotterdam. Cycle through Delft and to the seat of government, Den Haag, to the spa town of Scheveningen, and back to Rotterdam.
Day 5: Cycle from Rotterdam to Schoonhoven
Distance: approx. 50 km
Cycle to Kinderdijk (known for its system of windmills and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Cruise to Schoonhoven.
Day 6: Cycle from Schoonhoven to Utrecht & Cruise to Zaandam
Distance: approx. 35-50 km
Cycle through the beautiful Polderland to Oudewater (Witch's Scale) and Utrecht. Cruise to Zaandam via Amsterdam.
Day 7: Cycle from Zaandam to Amsterdam
Distance: approx. 30 km
Cycle from Zaandam to the museum village of Zaanse Schans (a historic Dutch village with a wooden shoe work shop and much more). Continue through the holiday region of Twiske and back to Amsterdam.
Day 8: Departure from Amsterdam
Depart after breakfast.

If by train - To Amsterdam Central Station. The port is nearby.
If by car - There is secure parking in Amsterdam for approx. EUR80,-/week. Reservations not accepted.
