Cycling cruise Kvarner Bay
Ship MS Linda:
Captain Damir's Linda was built in 1955 and renovated in 2004/05 to meet the requirements of Island hopping. The ship is a spacious wooden motor yacht and being 31 metres long and 6 metres wide the MY Linda is among the largerer ships in our Croatian fleet. The large saloon can accommodate 32 guests and the middle sundeck is constructed in a way that meals can also be served outside. The ship has 14 cabins with private bath: 10 cabins are on deck, 4 are below deck. Captain Damir and his crew look forward making your vacation an unforgettable one.
1. day Omisalj-Cres approx. 28 km
Individual arrival in Omisalj, a nice little harbor village on the island of Krk. If you're planning to arrive by car, we will organise a safe parking space for you. The cabins on the motor yacht will be ready for you from 2 pm. At ca. 3 pm the ship will sail and take us to the island of Cres in about four hours. In the evening we can take part in a short tour through the old town of Cres.
2. day Islands Cres and Losinj approx. 23 km
In the morning our ship will take us to Martinscica. From there we will cycle on the east side of the island among pine, fig and laurel trees to Osor, the artist town, where we will have lunch on the ship. Afterwards there will be time for a swim in the bay with crystal clear water. In the afternoon we'll leave Osor, crossing over a swing bridge to reach the island of Losinj. We'll bike along the panoramic route to Mali Losinj, an old seafaring and health resort. The ship will be waiting for us in the large harbour with its numerous cafés and colourful houses. We'll spend the night in the harbour of Mali Losinj.
3. day Islands Losinj and Molat approx. 20 + 10 km
Along the seaside walk we cycle to the south of Losinj and visit the picturesque small harbour of Veli Losinj before we meet the ship for lunch. In the afternoon we cross over to the island of Molat, where we'll do one more short bike tour. Overnight stay in the quiet harbour of Molat.
4. day Island Dugi Otok approx. 32 km
During breakfast, the ship will leave and take us past many small islands to the "spice island" of Dugi Otok. Our bike tour will start in the bay of Bozava, which is surrounded by woods of pine, agave and tamarisk trees, and we'll ride on a road nearly free of traffic. In the harbor of Savar we'll meet the ship for lunch. While cycling in the afternoon to the fishermen village of Sali you will be impressed by the terrific views of the deep blue sea and the surrounding islands.
5. day Island Pag - Rab approx. 20 km
After a cruise till lunch time, we will reach the island of Pag. In the harsh but delightful landscape of the island we'll come across many fig and olive trees. Over the centuries the inhabitants have built numerous stone walls for protection against the wind. We will bike on the narrow peninsula until we reach the sea where the ship will be waiting to take us to Rab. The island of Rab is one of the sunniest places in Europe. The town of Rab, the fortified capital of the island, was built in the middle ages on a wedge shaped headland, and marks one of the highlights of the trip. The four famous bell towers are the symbol of the adorned beauty of the town. After dinner we can explore the narrow alleys with numerous cosy cafes.
6. day Island Rab approx. 25 km
We will bike along the coast to the east side of the island, an area with virtually no vegetation, whose rough and cliffy rocks remind us of a lunar landscape. The road will lead us to a bay with a sandy beach, which is rather atypical for the Kvarner islands. At lunchtime the ship will be waiting for us in the harbor directly in front of the old town of Rab. After a swim break the ship will take us to the neighboring island of Krk, where we'll spend the evening in the historical town of Krk.
7. day Island Krk approx. 45 km
We will cycle over the ridge of the island, which is covered by fragrant macchia to a valley of vineyards and then onwards to the small museum town of Vrbnik in the northeast. The town, built on a 50-meter-high cliff and surrounded by vineyards, is the home of the famous white wine, Zlahtina. Another peculiarity that Vrbnik has to offer is the second narrowest alley in the world. The way will lead us across the island through old villages and rich vegetation to Omi?alj, from where Rijeka will be within sight. On the way, we will have a chance to swim in the bay of Soline. We'll spend the last night in Omi?alj.
8. day Omisalj (disembarkation)
The guests are asked to check out after breakfast, i.e. by 9 am.

Deluxeschiff Andela Lora:
Die im Frühjahr 2012 fertig gestellte Anđela Lora wird neben der Linda als zweites Schiff von Kapitän Damir für Inselhüpfen auf Reisen geschickt. Die Motoryacht ist ein ausgesprochen elegantes Stahlschiff der Deluxe-Kategorie. Mit einer stattlichen Länge von 40 m und einer Breite von 8,50 m ist sie eines der größten Schiffe unserer kroatischen Flotte. 17 geräumige Gästekabinen (12 - 14 qm) - viele davon sind Dreibett- oder Vierbettkabinen - mit gefliesten Bädern und abgetrennten Duschen stehen den Gästen zur Verfügung. Am Heck verfügt das Schiff über eine Badeplattform, die einen einfachen Zugang zum Meer ermöglicht. Ein gemütlicher Salon auf dem oberen Deck des Schiffes und zahlreiche Liegemöglichkeiten auf den verschiedenen Sonnendecks machen die Reise auf der Andela Lora zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Die freundliche Crew tut alles dafür, Ihnen eine unbeschwerte Reise in die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zu ermöglichen.
Anreise per Flug:
Zu der Reise in der Kvarner Bucht kann man zum Flughafen Rijeka fliegen, der sich wie der Einschiffungshafen Omisalj auf der Insel Krk befindet. Bitte bei der Flugbuchung darauf achten, dass das Schiff von Omisalj in der Regel um 15.00 Uhr ablegt. Sollten Sie einen Flug buchen wollen, der nach 14.00 Uhr landet, bitten wir um Rücksprache. Am Ein- und Ausschiffungstag bieten wir kostenlose Sammeltransfers zwischen Flughafen Rijeka und Omisalj an (mindestens 2 Teilnehmer, Reservierung erforderlich). Bitte teilen Sie uns Ihre genauen Flugdaten mit.
Falls Sie keine Flugverbindungen nach Rijeka erhalten, können Sie auch die Flughäfen Zagreb/ Pula/ Trieste oder Ljubljana anfliegen. Auch ab diesen Flughäfen wird am Ein- und Ausschiffungstag ein Sammeltransfer nach Omisalj angeboten zum Preis von Euro 40,- pro Person (Mindestteilnehmerzahl 2 Personen). Eine Reservierung unter Angabe der genauen Flugdaten ist bis max. 14 Tage vor Reisebeginn möglich und erforderlich.
Anreise per Bahn:
Wer mit der Bahn anreisen möchte, beachte bitte, dass es keine direkte Bahnverbindung nach Omisalj gibt. Es besteht jedoch eine gute Verbindung mit dem Nachtzug von München nach Rijeka. Am Einschiffungstag ist ein Sammeltransfer vom Bahnhof Rijeka nach Omisalj buchbar. Dieser gilt nur für den Nachtzug, der gegen 9 Uhr in Rijeka ankommt. Am Bahnhof wartet dann (bei Vorreservierung) ein Transferbus zur Weiterfahrt nach Omisalj (ca. 30 Minuten). Auch am Ausschiffungstag kann am frühen Vormittag ein Sammeltransfer von Omisalj nach Rijeka gebucht werden. Der Transferpreis beträgt 15 Euro pro Person und Strecke und ist bei der Buchung mit anzugeben.
Anreise mit dem Auto
Ab Frankfurt über München - Salzburg - Villach - Ljubljana - Koper nach Pula, beträgt die Entfernung ca. 1000 Km.
Fahrzeugdokumente:
Für die Einreise nach Kroatien brauchen Sie den Führerschein, den Fahrzeugschein und die Grüne Versicherungskarte für das Fahrzeug.
Parken:
In Omisalj organisieren wir für Sie nach Voranmeldung gerne einen sicheren Dauerparkplatz auf einem Privatgrundstück direkt am Hafen. Der Parkplatz kostet 40 Euro pro Woche und ist zahlbar vor Ort bei der Anreise. Bitte reservieren Sie den Parkplatz rechtzeitig vor Antritt der Reise. Wenn Sie mit dem PKW im Hafen angekommen sind , so fragen Sie bitte einen der Reiseleiter bei den Schiffen. Er wird Ihnen den Parkplatz zeigen. Nachdem Sie ausgeladen haben, können Sie Ihr Auto dort abstellen. Es gibt in Kroatien keine Versicherung, die Ihr Fahrzeug auf den von uns gestellten Parkplätzen gegen Diebstahl und Einbruch versichert. Schäden solcher Art werden nur über die heimische Kaskoversicherung gedeckt. Seit dem Beginn unserer Reisen (1998) wurde uns jedoch kein Schadensfall gemeldet.
Requirements:
The bike routes require a basic level of fitness, which you should have acquired by steady cycling.
The routes can reach an altitude of 200 to 500 meters. The daily routes, of 20-45 km, cover hilly and mountainous terrain and can be completed without time constraints. You will also come across some longer and rather steep climbs, where walking your bike is of course permitted. The tour guides will inform you about the course of the tour in due time. The roads are mostly asphalted and there is little traffic outside of holiday periods.
You can decide every day for yourself, whether you would like to cycle individually using the maps provided, or join one of the tour guides.
Bike helmets are required on all bike rides. On board there is a limited number of bike helmets available (reservation requested).
You can also choose to skip a bike tour and spend a day sunbathing on the ship instead.

Catering:
The cook on board is a member of the crew and prepares breakfast and two warm meals a day. The full board starts with the lunch on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.
Bringing Children:
We believe that only children in a good physical condition and of a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the bike tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1,40 m (4.6 ft.)
Discounts:
In combination with another Islandhopping tour you get on the second trip a discount of 50 Euro per person.
You can book a cabin for three persons and get a 50 % price discount for the third person (regardless of age) on some of our ships. Further the third person doesn't have to pay the on deck charge.
Children up to age 18 requesting their own cabin receive a 25 % discount on the basic tour price.
