Travelroute:
Day 1: Arrival in Amsterdam & Cruise to Hoorn
Arrive in Amsterdam and board your river boat. During your evening meal, cruise to Hoorn which has a beautiful Old Town.
Day 2: Cycle from Hoorn to Enkhuizen
Distance: approx. 50 km
Cycle from Hoorn (where many buildings from the 17th century have been preserved) to Enkhuizen. Tip: Visit the beautiful harbour and the Zuiderzee Museum.
Day 3: Cruise from Enkhuizen to Lemmer
Distance: approx. 60 km
Cruise on Lake IJssel to Lemmer (but not in bad weather).
Or cycle through OOsterzee Buren to Lake Tjeuke, Delfstrahuizen, Munnekeburen, Scherpenzeel, Schoterzijl, and Lemmer.
Day 4: Cycle from Lemmer to Stavoren & Cruise to Oudeschild (Island of Texel)
Distance: approx. 15 - 65 km
Cycle to Lake Sandeler Leijen, through the Rijsterbos Forest, past the Mokkebank Foul Reservation, to the Roode Klif, and Stavoren. Cruise to Oudeschild on the Island of Texel.
Day 5: Island of Texel, Cycling Circuit Tour of Oudeschild & Cruise to Den Helder
Distance: approx. 30 - 50 km
Enjoy today's cycling circuit tour on Holland's largest island in the North Sea. Tip: Cycle on the Thijsse Route (approx. 40 km / 25 mi) and visit the Seal Breeding Station, EcoMare. Cruise from Oudenschild to Den Helder.
Day 6: Cycle & Cruise from Den Helder to Alkmaar
Distance: approx. 50 km
You can ride to St. Maartensvlotbrug and cruise to Alkmaar from there. Or you can cruise to St. Maartensvlotbrug and cycle to Aklmaar from there.
Day 7: Cruise from Alkmaar to Wormerveer & Cycle from Wormerveer to Amsterdam
Distance: approx. 35 - 50 km
Cruise from Alkmaar to Wormerveer. Cycle to the open-air museum, Zaanse Schans. Continue through Twiske to Amsterdam.
Day 8: Departure from Amsterdam
Depart after breakfast.
